# Using SendWP with LifterLMS

Connect SendWP from LifterLMS's Email Delivery settings, so enrollment, course and account emails reach your students.

Welcome emails, purchase receipts, password resets, course reminders: a learning site runs on email, and students notice when it doesn't arrive. LifterLMS has SendWP built into its settings, so you can install and connect it in a click.

## Connect SendWP from LifterLMS

1. In your WordPress dashboard, go to **LifterLMS → Settings**.
2. Open the **Engagements** tab and scroll to **Email Delivery**.
3. Click **Connect SendWP**.
4. LifterLMS installs and activates the SendWP plugin for you (or just activates it, if it's already installed), then takes you to SendWP.
5. Create your SendWP account, or log in if you have one, then choose a plan and check out. The steps are the same as in [Getting started](/docs/getting-started#step-2-connect-your-site).
6. When you're done, you'll come back to **Tools → SendWP** on your site, which should say “SendWP is currently enabled and sending email.”

You need permission to install plugins to see the **Connect SendWP** button. Site administrators have it.

Because you connected through LifterLMS, it's credited as the partner that referred you. There's nothing to enter.

## Check it's connected

Back in **LifterLMS → Settings → Engagements → Email Delivery**, you'll see “Your site is connected to SendWP.” with a link to **Manage your account**. If it says email sending is currently disabled, follow the link to the SendWP settings and turn sending back on.

Then finish setting up with [Authenticating your domain](/docs/authenticating-your-domain). It's the step that does the most for getting your course emails into students' inboxes.

## Which LifterLMS emails go through SendWP

Every email LifterLMS sends through WordPress, including its engagement emails, enrollment and purchase emails and account emails, plus the rest of your site's email. You'll see each one in your [email log](/docs/reading-your-email-log).

## Trouble connecting?

If the button doesn't finish, your site may not be able to install plugins (some hosts turn that off). Install SendWP yourself from **Plugins → Add New Plugin**, then connect from **Tools → SendWP**. Still stuck? Email [support@sendwp.com](mailto:support@sendwp.com).
