Getting started

Using SendWP with Ninja Forms

Set up SendWP from the Ninja Forms dashboard, so form notifications and confirmation emails get delivered.

A form is only as good as the email it sends. If the notification never reaches you, the lead is lost, and if the confirmation never reaches the visitor, they wonder whether it worked. Ninja Forms partners with SendWP and can install and connect it for you from its own dashboard.

Set up SendWP from Ninja Forms

  1. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Ninja Forms → Dashboard.
  2. Open the Partner Apps & Services tab.
  3. Find the SendWP card and click its setup button.
  4. Ninja Forms installs and activates the SendWP plugin for you (or just activates it, if it's already installed), then takes you to SendWP.
  5. Create your SendWP account, or log in if you have one, then choose a plan and check out. The steps are the same as in Getting started.
  6. When you're done, you'll come back to Tools → SendWP on your site, which should say “SendWP is currently enabled and sending email.”

You need to be a site administrator to do this.

Because you set up SendWP through Ninja Forms, it's credited as the partner that referred you. There's nothing to enter.

Then finish setting up with Authenticating your domain. It's the step that does the most for getting your form emails into inboxes.

Which form emails go through SendWP

Every email Ninja Forms sends through WordPress: the notifications that tell you about a new submission, the confirmation emails your visitors get, and anything else your forms' email actions send. SendWP routes everything WordPress sends, so the rest of your site's email is covered too. You'll see each one in your email log.

A tip for form notifications

Ninja Forms lets you set a form email's From address. Use an address at the domain you've authenticated with SendWP (like hello@yourdomain.com), not the visitor's address or a free email address. To reply straight to the visitor, put their email in the Reply-To field instead. Emails sent from your own authenticated domain are far more likely to reach the inbox.

Trouble setting it up?

If the setup doesn't finish, your site may not be able to install plugins (some hosts turn that off). Install SendWP yourself from Plugins → Add New Plugin, then connect from Tools → SendWP. Still stuck? Email support@sendwp.com.
